POSITION OVERVIEW:

Maintain all aspects of the general ledger for accuracy, timeliness and completeness. Pays: $65,000-$70,000 per year

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain general ledger accounting functions
• Reconcile assigned intercompany accounts
• Reconcile assigned account receivables
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Prepare cost report schedules and reports
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and record monthly depreciation expense
• Prepare and post monthly entries closing entries
• Close-out accrued balance sheet accounts
• Manage government grants as assigned
• Prepare audit schedules and work with external auditors
• Produce ad hoc analysis reports and projects as requested
• Participate in the preparation of annual budgets
• Research with regard to appropriately recording accounting transactions with document support
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisors.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting,
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required
• Non- Profit experience a plus
• Knowledge of GAAP and Uniform Guidance cost principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience with Fund-Ez and Sage Fixed Asset a plus
