Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing resources, and ensuring all project goals and objectives are met.

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Portland, Oregon.

Description

  • Assist the Project Manager in the planning and implementation of projects.
  • Coordinate and oversee project activities to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Communicate with clients, subcontractors, architects, and other stakeholders to maintain effective relationships and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project completion.
  • Resolve issues and conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
  • Support the Project Manager in preparing for and conducting project meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards and policies.
  • Assist in project closeout activities, including documentation, inspections, and final reports.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction project management or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and project management principles.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure project quality and compliance.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
