Job Description

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, and the general direction of the Staff Services Manager III (Chief of Contract Management Administration), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (Contract Management Analyst) performs the more complex analytical support for Contract Managers in the Contract Administration Office of the High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority). This position ensures the consistent administration of contracts and works with contract managers, contract administrators, and support staff. The incumbent supports all phases of a contract from execution to contract closeout and ensures that assigned statewide contracts and agreements are administered and managed in accordance with policies and procedure of the Authority, the State Contracting Manual (SCM), and the California Government Code (GC).

Working Conditions

Part time telework, up to three days per week, is available based on the requirements of the position for California residents and may be discussed during the interview process. Hiring interviews may be available virtually, using teleconferencing or video conferencing options.


While working on site, the incumbent works in a professional office environment, in a climate-controlled cubicle which may fluctuate in temperature and is under artificial light. Incumbent will be required to use a computer, mouse, and video display terminal and will be required to sit for long periods of time at a computer screen. Employee must be able to focus for long periods of time, multi-task, adapt to changes in priorities and complete tasks or projects with short notice. Employees may be required to travel outside of their workstation to perform general tasks.
