Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Backend Engineer (Senior / Staff) - Crypto - this is an onsite position in New York.

Our API powers the home tabs, explore tabs, and push notifications of the majority of the wallet apps in the industry (Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, Zerion, OKX Web3 Wallet, and more) with personalized transaction recommendations: mints, claims, quests, dapps, swaps, and more. It's "onchain for you" - like Netflix and Spotify's home tabs, but with things to do onchain instead of movies or music.

Who we are

We already drive 5% of our wallet partners' transacting users, and our mission is to drive 5% of all onchain GDP. Our founders have been working together in crypto for five years and in the company for two years, and we are backed by great funds. We work on hard and interesting scaling and data problems, and we get to help everyone in crypto: from users to wallets to protocols to chains to creators.

Responsibilities:

• Own and design backend REST APIs for usability and for scale
• Build and manage a team of backend engineers
• Build clean, maintainable, and well-tested backend code

Projects you may work on:

• Build our API - a robust, scalable, and developer-friendly API that the biggest crypto apps and wallets use
• Engineer our integrations system, a service that ingests into our transactions across many transaction creation tools like Zora and Boosts

Requirements

Based in NYC

Deep experience with modern backend technologies like Node.js, Typescript, AWS, and Postgres

5+ years at tech startups with millions of DAUs

Experience designing and building out programmatic APIs

Experience maintaining highly available infrastructure
