SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Bench Jeweler plays a pivotal role in crafting and restoring Chrome Hearts jewelry through a diverse range of jewelry manufacturing techniques. These include, but are not limited to, silversmithing, goldsmithing, engraving, fabrication, wax carving, and polishing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Casting: Create new jewelry pieces from molds, starting from raw castings.
- Finishing: Meticulously file fine jewelry to prepare it for the polishing process. This may involve straightening parts, rounding edges, and resizing rings. Additionally, skillfully assemble various components using appropriate soldering techniques, depending on the metal being worked on.
- Customization: Skillfully assemble customized jewelry pieces or reproduce multiple items that adhere to specific design specifications. These tasks often require the use of hands and hand tools for basic assembly.
- Restoration and Alteration: Demonstrate the ability to restore old or damaged jewelry to its former glory. Adjust pre-existing jewelry for size, or customize pieces to meet customer requirements.
- Organizational Excellence: Maintain a highly organized and detail-oriented routine, ensuring proactive involvement in all tasks.
- Efficiency: Consistently deliver high-quality jewelry pieces within short turnaround times, meeting customer demands efficiently.
- Versatility: Rotate through various tasks within the production process, showcasing adaptability and skill diversification.
- Quality Assurance: Perform thorough quality inspections on both products and individual parts to uphold the brand's reputation for excellence.
- Shipping Preparation: Prepare finished products for shipment, ensuring they are packaged securely and presented professionally.
- Workspace Maintenance: Uphold a clean and orderly work area, strictly adhering to safety protocols to create a secure and productive work environment.
Requirements
- Preferred One-Year Experience: We highly value at least one year of prior experience in jewelry production.
- Versatile Manufacturing Skills: Candidates with previous expertise in various manufacturing skills such as silversmithing, goldsmithing, engraving, fabrication, wax carving, and polishing are preferred.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with casting, soldering, and polishing tools and equipment is a plus.
- Physical Stamina: Must be capable of handling a physically demanding workload.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based work environment.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent communication skills are a must.
- Responsibility and Accountability: Candidates should be eager to take on responsibilities and demonstrate a personal sense of accountability.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role is based in a manufacturing and production floor setting. There may be instances of noise exposure from machines and hand tools, which are within permissible sound levels. Standard casting, soldering, and polishing equipment, as well as hand tools, are used regularly in this role.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Extended Standing: Employees will be required to stand for prolonged periods, with occasional sitting and walking.
- Repetitive Motions: Repeating various physical motions throughout the shift, involving the use of feet, legs, arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Manual Dexterity: Operating equipment and hand tools with a high degree of manual dexterity and close visual attention.
- Lifting Capability: Ability to carry and/or lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
