About the Role:

As a Records Researcher, you will be responsible for the accurate maintenance of biographical and demographic information on individual and corporate records in Salesforce. You will organize and update information, manipulate large data segments, and prepare load batches using data management tools.

Position Summary:

The Records Researcher will handle biographic and demographic information updates, complete assigned cases to improve data quality, and prepare data for batching, validation, and reconciliation. You will also research and update findings from data integrity audit queries and update constituent involvement and service indicators as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Completes biographic and demographic information updates for alumni, donors, and friends from multiple sources.
• Responsible for completing assigned cases to improve overall data quality in the system.
• Uses data manipulation processing (e.g., Excel formulas, functions, or SQL scripting) to prepare data for batching, validation, and reconciliation.
• ️ Researches, prepares, and updates findings from data integrity audit queries.
• Updates constituent involvement, service indicators, and other codes as needed.

Core Duties:

• A keen eye for detail and the ability to spot and correct errors with accuracy and efficiency.
• Proactive and curious problem-solver.
• Fast learner, very accurate, able to multi-task, and work with minimal supervision.
• Editing data and creating reports from data extracted from electronic information.

Interface and Skills:

The Central Advancement Records Researcher interfaces with the public and colleagues across the university, alumni, donors, parents, and friends. This person must have a professional demeanor, excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated experience with project coordination.

Preferred Experience:

• ️ Experience using modern CRMs for data entry (Salesforce, CRM Advance, RE NXT, etc.).
• Advanced knowledge of and experience with Microsoft 365, with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Proficiency with and ability to learn new technology and incorporate it into work.
• ️ High proficiency in keyboard and 10-key data entry.

Additional Notes:

• ️ The candidate will perform data entry, ensure data accuracy, and benchmark against internal or external databases to identify and correct discrepancies.
• Generate routine reports and perform related clerical duties.
• Target start date: ASAP.
• Duration of Assignment: Until 12/31/24 with the possibility of extension.
• Work hours: 8:30 am 5:00 pm (37.5 weekly hours).
• Dress code: Business Casual.
• Parking: Not covered by the department. Parking permit available for purchase at a bi-weekly/monthly rate; street parking available.

Education:

• High School Diploma
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
