ITS has partnered with a highly respected and rapidly growing medical practice to recruit a Controller.

Position Summary:

The Operations Officer is seeking a collaborative, self-starting Controller to be the practice's financial leader to oversee all accounting functions for 7 locations, IT, and facilities. The Controller will be responsible for being a part of strategic growth plans, maintaining internal controls. Working with external accountants and auditors, budgeting and forecasting, and monitoring performance metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including A/R & A/R, payroll, financial reporting, review internal and external financial statements, and leading the close and audit.
  • Monitor business performance and metrics, including billing management process.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Assist with forecasting and budget process.
  • Provide direction and guidance to accounting, IT, and facilities and location expenses.
  • Serve as a key business partner to upper management in growth of the business and provide vital information supporting the decision-making process.
  • Coordinate and work with external auditors and advisors.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by establishing preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Evaluating accounting software and supporting database.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, MBA, CPA are preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of related experience, prior or current supervisory experience is desired.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Applications and accounting software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP and accounting practices.
  • Medical Industry experience is a plus.
