Location: 3200 Shore Drive, Marinette WI
Shift Hours: Full-Time 1.00 FTE (40 hours/week), Days: 7:30am-4pm
Job Description: Process records and chart documents through the medical record workflow. Retrieves, prepares, scans, and indexes patient documentation into the Electronic Medical Record. Navigates multiple Electronic Medical Records and various computer applications to perform the following job duties to support patient care, regulatory requirements, and meaningful use. EMR techs are a support role for all ambulatory clinics. They are responsible for timely scanning of patient data to ensure providers have complete and accurate information to treat their patients.
Qualifications: - High school diploma/GED or Health Information Management degree
- Have basic computer skills using the EPIC electronic medical record system
- One to three years of experience with an electronic medical record in a hospital/medical setting preferred
- Medical terminology preferred
- Clerical experience, proficient computer/keyboarding skills, filing systems and telephone etiquette in medical care setting.

- Navigates multiple Electronic Medical Records and various computer applications to perform the following job duties to support patient care, regulatory requirements, and meaningful use
- Responds to requests, questions, and comments from other Health Information Management customers
- Provides support to other health information services' functions
- Analyzes and assesses medical records for quality and completeness
- Verifies and maintains data in the computer system.
In the process of completing a course from an accredited education program which provides exposure to health information management and includes a unit in medical terminology, i.e., Health Information Technology, Medical Assistant, Medical Office Mid-Management, Medical Record Technology, or applicable experience in a health care setting or medical insurance environment required.
Clerical experience, including exposure to keyboarding, computers, filing systems and telephone etiquette, in a health care setting, previous experience in release of confidential health care information, and experience with patient registration and insurance processing preferred.
