The primary responsibility of the Lead Person in Inventory Control is to maintain efficiency in shipping, receiving, and inventory areas of the KHS facility. This position has primary responsibility for the accurate and timely delivery of parts and materials to internal and external customers.

Your Responsibilities:

• Acts as stand in for the manager/supervisor when he/she is not in the plant or is unavailable.
• Directs employees on day to day tasks based on priority.
• Maintains order and organization in the stockroom; assists with plans for the layout of stockroom and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight and related factors of items stored.
• Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock and related problems.
• Evaluates data in the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERPS) to recommend remedial actions for unusable, slow moving and excess stock.
• Reviews records for accuracy, compliance with established procedures.
• Takes lead role with special and periodic inventories.
• Assists with the preparation of work schedules, help set priorities for the shift and expedites workflow.
• May coordinate special delivery carriers and crating and skidding of machines.
• Demonstrates awareness of and practices safety guidelines and gives feedback to employees on following safety rules; May participate on safety committee.
• Interacts with other department leaders to provide support on inventory needs.

Your Profile:

• High school diploma or GED
• Three years inventory/warehouse experience
• Ability to use an enterprise resource planning system
