The Role

The Jewelry Designer is responsible for developing new concepts and ideas that will enhance the brands jewelry line. The role works closely with our merchandising team and contributes from the concept to development process.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and executes product designs from conception to prototype that achieve overall product strategy and merchandise objectives.
• Sketch design ideas/concepts to convey ideas to the merchandising team.
• Partner with the design team to elaborate and expand design concepts and coordinate seasonal concepts, materials, and hardware.
• Research seasonal trends and develop new design concepts based on the trends to enhance the brands image in the market.
• Ensure designs meet merchant line plans, assortment strategies and overall creative direction.
• Prepare and finalize technical drawings of proposed product to be used for product development process and ensure specs are sent to factories.
• Create product presentations including boards, tear sheets, and samples and present new product assortment during line previews with internal partners.
• Research and recommend trends and color stories for each season and category.
• Adhere to design calendar and deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in art, design (or equivalent work experience) and 3+ years' experience designing fine jewelry
• Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator and 3D Software
• Technical package skills are a must
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Adaptable and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential
• Practical problem- solver, highly organized and self-motivated
• Great people skills
