Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. The Logistics & Supply Chain Director will manage and direct all activities pertaining to distribution, logistics, and warehouse activities to meet business needs.
  2. Formulate a distribution strategy to deliver products at optimal cost and lead time.
  3. Ensure legally compliant distribution policies, programs, and best practices for Warehousing, Transportation, and Distribution.
  4. Work with land freight and shipping providers for exploration and documentation of finished products.
  5. Inventory management: Ensure accurate stock levels at Distribution Centers and Warehouses.
  6. Monitor and respond to distribution-related customer complaints within agreed guidelines.
  7. Oversee the customer product sampling process for new evaluations and sales contracts.
  8. Ensure all logistics and transportation activities comply with safety, DOT, rail, and ocean shipping regulations.
  9. Ensure compliance with ISO9002 procedures and instructions, representing the North America Commercial organization in Quality reviews.
  10. Ensure warehouse receiving and inventory transfer activities comply with financial controls requirements.
  11. Maintain a safe working environment for Distribution, Logistics, and Warehouse personnel.

Qualifications:

  1. The Logistics & Supply Chain Director will have a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Engineering, Logistics, Business, or a similar field.
  2. 7+ years in leadership roles.
  3. Experience in leading and developing a team in Logistics and Warehousing; multi-facility management, including 3PL providers.
  4. Experience with HAZMAT and DOT regulations.
  5. In-depth knowledge of transportation-related functions, including export customs processes, EDI integration, and SAP/WMS applications.
  6. Preferred: Chemical knowledge, Microsoft Office Suite, SAP functionality, Six Sigma training, and leadership in union environments.
  7. Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Relocation provided. $150K-$170K.
