Job Title: Nanny for Infant and Toddler

Location: Upper East Side, New York City

Position Type: Full-Time, Flexible Hours (7:30AM to 7PM, M-Fri)

Overview: We are a family recently relocated to the Upper East Side of New York City, seeking an experienced and caring nanny to join our household. Our family consists of a 6-month-old baby (currently under the care of a baby nurse) and a lively 18-month-old toddler. Both parents will soon return to work, necessitating the need for a reliable and flexible nanny to provide attentive care for our children.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nurturing care for the infant and toddler, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Engage the children in age-appropriate activities to support their development and stimulate their curiosity.
• Maintain a consistent daily routine, including feeding, napping, and playtime.
• Collaborate with the baby nurse to ensure a smooth transition of care as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including washing dishes, tidying up communal areas, and children's laundry.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the toddler, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Monitor and replenish supplies such as diapers, wipes, and other baby essentials, informing the parents when supplies are running low.
• Provide occasional pet care for our 5-pound Yorkie, including feeding and letting out for bathroom breaks.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a nanny, preferably with infants and toddlers.
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
• Flexibility with scheduling, including early mornings and occasional evenings.
• Pet-friendly attitude, with a willingness to care for our Yorkie as needed.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
