Position Summary

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for executing a variety of administrative functions related to all aspects of payroll processing, employee benefits, recruiting, onboarding, and termination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll in payroll software system (Paychex)
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, changes to pay rates, and deductions
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
• Generate payroll management reports from payroll software system
• Monitor changes to unemployment insurance rates and report changes in payroll software system
• Process changes to employee information and benefits in payroll software system
• Complete required paperwork to add employer payroll tax accounts for new states, as required
• Reconcile employee leave balance in payroll system to the accounting system
• Process bi-weekly employer 401(k) contributions
• Reconcile and process invoices
• Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits
• Assist Human Resources Director with recruiting, onboarding, and termination activities, as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High School Diploma required
• Four years of experience as a payroll clerk, payroll administrator, or similar role
• Understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
• Proficiency in MS Office, data entry, and general office equipment
• Proficiency in customer service and problem resolution
• Proficiency in completing detail-oriented work with accuracy
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Salary: $85,0000 per year, plus benefits, commensurate with experience
