CMA has an employment opportunity for a Project Environmental Scientist. Candidates should be able to demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, workload organization and planning, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic. Candidates will have knowledge in one or more of the following areas: consulting arborist services; wetland assessments; environmental resource permitting; NEPA/PD&E reporting; benthic resources (seagrass, corals); protected wildlife species; GPS data collection and GIS mapping. Candidates will support various project types (i.e., urban forest management, infrastructure or development projects, habitat restoration, etc.) through field work, report writing, agency coordination, and permitting. This position will start out in office and then evolve into a Hybrid (office & remote) position. Responsibilities Include: Arborist services, including tree inventories, tree health assessments, and tree removal permitting. Wetland delineations and functional evaluations. Environmental resource permitting (through federal, state, and local agencies). Benthic resource surveys. Protected wildlife species literature and field reviews. Literature and internet research, technical writing/report preparation. GPS field data collection and preparation of GIS drawings. NEPA/PD&E document preparation and reevaluations. Coordination with engineers, landscape architects, planners, clients, regulatory agencies, and other parties as required. Minimum Requirements: B.S. or M.S. degree - relevant majors include biology, environmental science, urban forestry, or related fields. 5-10 years of relevant experience. Experience with state and federal wetland evaluations and permitting. Knowledge of USACE, FDEP, and WMD rules and regulations. Tree field assessments, including GPS tree inventories and health assessments. Protected wildlife species surveys (preferred) Knowledge and abilities in ArcGIS analyses and figure preparation. Shallow water snorkeling and SCUBA experience (preferred). Experience in developing NEPA/PD&E compliant documents (preferred). Desire to work in both an office environment and in the field. Willingness and flexibility to travel for projects as needed. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Possess strong technical writing skills and have experience writing detailed technical reports. Team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment as well as the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments concurrently. #J-18808-Ljbffr
