INTEGRA Biosciences Corporation is an industry leader of innovative liquid handling products for the medical diagnostics, pharmaceutical, biotech, and food industries. The Regional Sales Manager manages a team of sales representatives in Massachusetts, focusing in the Metro Boston area.

Who is right for this role? We are looking for a candidate who is well-versed in the scientific/laboratory products market, has a proven track record in managing an outside sales team, and is capable of driving sales performance while being adept at problem solving within a sales environment.


Primary Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, and train new sales team members to sustain regional growth.
  • Organize and participate in training new team members.
  • Develop and review long- and short-term sales goals.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
  • Support staff members in generating market leads and closing new deals effectively.
  • Analyze individual sales performance through frequent monitoring and provide consistent feedback.
  • Travel with direct reports to assess capabilities, mentor, and provide hands-on sales training.
  • Establish and communicate specific goals and expectations to team members.
  • Provide necessary training support and continuous feedback to enhance selling skills.
  • Ensure delivery of sales targets through individual recognition, performance reviews, and training.
  • Meet with customers to discuss evolving needs and assess the quality of relationships.
  • Retain a small direct sales territory to sell products and services regularly.
  • Provide senior managers with monthly field activity reports.
  • Develop field sales action plans to achieve regional sales goals.
  • Submit a monthly team pipeline of capital equipment and develop sales quotas/targets for territories and the region.
  • Stay current with economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand, and competitors to maintain sales volume and product mix.
  • Document customer interactions and maintain data related to activities, accounts, and partners in SFDC (CRM).
  • Ensure effective cross-selling activities to existing customer accounts by guiding and demonstrating techniques.
  • Maximize regional sales volume.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in science or a related field.
  • Must reside in the designated sales territory (Massachusetts).
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager, or a similar senior sales role in the New England area.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales, specifically with scientific or laboratory products.
  • Proficient in using sales tracking software.
  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
  • Demonstration of strong organizational skills and has a problem-solving attitude.

Travel: Within territory 50%; Massachusetts with a concentrated focus in the Metro Boston area.
