Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general supervision of the Radiology Director, Medical Director and the RN Radiology Coordinator, the Radiology RN assists with patient care in diagnostic, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Mammography and Interventional procedures. Assists with Gamma Knife following appropriate screening and training. Assignment to assist with CAPPS patients following orientation to the unit. This is achieved by performing nursing patient assessment in accordance with the guidelines established by the facility. The Radiology RN maintains accurate documentation of patient data while in the radiology department. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of patient physiologic monitors and performs emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed. Will instruct and aid in the training of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine students in clinical nursing practices. Rotating standby call for interventional procedures is a requirement of this position.

What qualifications you will need:

• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Current BLS required. Knowledgeable in handling controlled medications in Radiology according to hospital protocol.
  
• Minimum of 1 year work experience in critical care unit including experience in monitoring patient’s Vital signs including cardiac rhythms.
  
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and or Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Nursing
