Senior Principal Packaging Designer

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Principal Packaging Designer , you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative packaging design solutions. You will work with Experience Design Group to deliver a balance of design excellence for Dell hardware products.

You Will:

• Deliver the design in planning, researching, concept design, layout, and execution of packaging projects, considering brand and design guidelines

• Work across and understand the impact on technical teams and /or vendors, as well as cost delivery

• Collaborate with team members in addition to Industrial Designers, Packaging Engineers, and others to understand design requirements

• Assess the dynamics of problems and establish a strategy or methodology to solve them

• Have the ability to design packaging structures with solutions to guide engineers and vendors to deliver high-quality mass production

Essential Requirements

• 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years with a Master’s degree, or 5+ years with a PhD or equivalent experience

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is required

• Experience in image editing, rendering, visualization, and 2D drawing

• Capable with office programs and presentations, and they should be able to create packing mockups

• Proficiency in 3D rendering and computer-aided design (CAD) for structural design and presentation, as well as knowledge of packaging design, graphics, layout, materials, and production

Desirable Requirements

• Knowledge of packaging design, graphics, layout, materials, and production

Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is
$167,450 - $216,700.
