Job Description

Company Overview:

Mattur is pioneering the future of power generation. Our cutting-edge solutions are designed to accelerate America’s energy independence at the lowest cost. We develop cleaner, smarter, and more cost-effective energy solutions for businesses, communities, and critical infrastructure.

Our technology enables lowest cost power generation across a range of applications such as:

  • Smart, Scalable Generators – Traditional generators are often oversized, leading to excessive fuel consumption, higher costs, and frequent maintenance. Our compact, modular generators dynamically adjust to power demand, reducing fuel use and lowering total cost of ownership.

  • Modular Wind Turbines – Engineered to capture wind from any direction, even at low speeds. Their lightweight, compact design simplifies transport and installation while enabling seamless scalability—from small installations to large-scale wind farms.

  • AI Optimization – Our systems continuously monitor and adjust performance in real time, maximizing efficiency and reliability while reducing operating costs.

We are just getting started. As a fast-paced and dynamic startup, Mattur’s next-generation power solutions are laying the foundation for expansion into new markets and industries, creating an opportunity to join at the ground floor of exponential growth.

Position Overview:

Mattur is seeking a highly qualified and technical Project Manager to drive execution. This role reports to the COO and supports the CTO and engineering team in delivering complex projects. They will own the execution of Mattur’s product roadmap, and requires a systems thinker who can translate technical objectives into structured plans, ensuring engineering efforts stay aligned with broader company goals. With a strong grasp of logistics, supply coordination, and regulatory compliance, they will anticipate challenges before they arise, keeping development and manufacturing on track. Acting as a key liaison across departments, they will facilitate cross-functional collaboration, streamline workflows, and help scale engineering processes. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and hands-on, with strong communication skills to keep teams aligned and ensure information flows efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tasking and Road mapping:

  • Own and drive project planning, developing and maintaining structured roadmaps that align with company goals, technical feasibility, and resource availability. Break down high-level objectives into clear, actionable tasks with defined deliverables, ownership, and deadlines.
  • Track progress against the roadmap, proactively identifying risks, blockers, and misalignments, and work with engineering, operations, and leadership to adjust plans as needed.
  • Implement engineering best practices for task management and execution, ensuring the team has the structure, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Kanban, Gantt charts) needed to scale effectively.
  • Work with engineering team leads to maintain structured documentation, including requirements tracking, system-level documentation, and project milestones, ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for cross-team coordination, ensuring dependencies are well-managed and schedules remain aligned.

2.  Project Logistics & Operations Management

  • Ensure materials, components, and equipment are available on time by coordinating procurement, inventory, and supplier management to prevent delays.
  • Oversee logistics planning for equipment transport, vendor coordination, and on-site activities, ensuring smooth execution of project-related operations.
  • Work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and external partners to align lead times, shipping schedules, and handling requirements with project needs.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in supply chain and logistics, proactively addressing risks to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain visibility into material availability and movement, ensuring alignment with engineering, manufacturing, and operational teams.

3.  Certification & Regulatory Management

  • Act as the engineering point of contact for all product certifications, ensuring compliance with UL, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with the COO and manufacturing teams to ensure designs and production processes meet regulatory requirements from the outset.
  • Manage certification processes with external agencies, overseeing submissions, testing, approvals, and documentation for audits and reviews.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, proactively addressing compliance risks and integrating requirements into engineering and manufacturing workflows.

4.  Cross-Functional Execution & Alignment

  • Act as a key supporting figure to the CTO, ensuring engineering efforts align with broader business and manufacturing goals.
  • Serve as a cross-functional point of contact, facilitating communication between engineering, business, and manufacturing teams to keep projects running smoothly.
  • Develop a deep understanding of all parts of the business, from technical execution to operational and strategic objectives, ensuring projects contribute to the company’s success.
  • Support the COO and play a critical role in coordinating the transition from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring a smooth handoff between development and production.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical design principles and how they integrate into product development.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical project management, engineering operations, or a related role within hardware or energy industries.
  • Strong background in engineering processes, product development lifecycles, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Experience working with logistics, supply chain management, or regulatory compliance in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, track progress, and drive alignment across engineering and business teams.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical details into clear action plans.
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience working with technically complicated products that integrate both hardware and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Asana and other task management tools, as well as engineering tools like Git.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Kanban, or other structured project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of certification processes such as UL, EPA, or other regulatory standards.
  • Experience with manufacturing workflows and transitioning products from R&D to production.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Project Management certification is a plus, particularly for managing technical workflows.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and stock options.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including 401k, health, vision, dental and life insurance plans.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
  • A positive and inclusive work environment dedicated to sustainability and innovation.

Conclusion:

Mattur is a fast-paced and dynamic startup, and we’re on a mission to accelerate America’s energy independence at the lowest cost. If you’re a versatile and hands-on project manager who is passionate about bridging the gap between engineering and business teams, we encourage you to apply. Your expertise will directly impact the production of next-generation energy solutions and shape the future of power generation.
