Job Details
Job Description: This position will be a key person in the accounting department responsible for month end closing, financial statement preparation and reporting, account reconciliations, and supporting business operations. This position will also be responsible for helping establish budgets, forecasting, and creating proforma projections as well as cash forecasting for business requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs monthly financial close functions.
Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries including revenue journals, fixed assets, payroll, prepaids, accruals, etc.
File sales & use tax and other local taxes with necessary government institutions
Oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Assist with preparing PBC list for year-end audits.
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
